SEASON 1
Imagine a walk of shame home on a Sunday morning that resulted in a greeting from grandpa working on the Sunday crossword puzzle. Neither Victor nor Caleb is pleased to have each other’s daily company. With Caleb’s failure to graduate Columbia in 4 years, he was left with no choice but to move downtown and take the free rent in his grandpa’s Upper West Side apartment. As Caleb attempts to pull his life together in order to get out, he learns more and more intimate details about his grandfather’s life at his age and Victor learns why Caleb lets things go in the first place.
EPISODE 1
Pilot: The Duo's Dynamics.
Meet unmotivated Caleb and disconnected Victor. The grandfather and grandson aren’t baking cookies and gossiping together. Sunday for Victor means tradition, while it means scaries for Caleb. With the help from their better half’s Liam and Larry, another Sunday comes to a close.
EPISODE 2
Enter Delilah and Jude.
Following a pleasant surprise text from his ex girlfriend, Caleb prepares for the encounter with reflection on what brought the two to this point. Meanwhile Victor spends time with Larry and reflects on his own early memories with Judy.
EPISODE 3
Having the talk.
Caleb and Delilah meet and the aftermath sends Caleb into a spiral. As Victor tries to help his grandson, he comes to terms with the fact that he himself needs to listen to his own advice. Both men lean on their friends for much-needed optimism.
EPISODE 4
Med school or bed school.
As Caleb refuses to go to his classes, Victor reflects on what he loved most about his time in med school, and it wasn’t the curriculum. Caleb learns about his grandpa’s past and begins pondering what he really wants his future to hold.
EPISODE 5
Don't call mom.
With the upcoming scheduled parental visit, Caleb finally gets back into his academics. Victor and Caleb prepare for difficult conversations with them and bond over their shared admiration for Caleb’s mom/Victor’s daughter.
EPISODE 6
Liam and Larry.
At the weekly Sunday chinese food feast, Liam and Larry make a plan to coordinate helping out both their friends. The pranksters bond over the support they both provide their friends, and we learn more about Larry and Victor’s past together.
EPISODE 7
The letters.
Caleb discovers the letters his grandfather writes to his grandma and comes to understand what the relationship meant to Victor. While initially skeptical, Caleb begins writing his own letters to Delilah. When Liam finds out about this practice, he points out to Caleb how he is lucky enough to actually be able to send these.
EPISODE 8
Where's a mailbox.
Caleb builds the courage to send Delilah all his thoughts, while Larry works on getting Victor on dating sites. Uptown at Columbia, we get a peek into what Caleb’s has given up in the past few weeks when Liam gets himself into trouble.
EPISODE 9
Role reversal.
Larry and his smoker lungs are sent to the hospital, where Victor’s doctor senses kick in. Meanwhile, Caleb deals with the backlash of his friend’s latest actions, all while eagerly waiting on word from Delilah.
EPISODE 10
Answers.
In the finale, Delilah shows up at Victor’s apartment, and has a lot to say to Caleb. Victor goes on his first date, and heads into a spiral of his own. The season closer answers many questions, all while creating a million more.
